DR. M PRESENTS : DRESS ME UP COMPETITION (JAKARTA FASHION WEEK 2013)

It was a hectic day. And this is the first time in Jakarta Fashion Week history, to add more days and re-schedule the show. Just because of the rain ! Yeah.

So the 4th event of Jakarta Fashion Week this year is taking place at Plaza Senayan from Nov 3rd to 9th, not Pacific Place as usual, because the space at Pacific Place for Jakarta Fashion Week was bought by Lafayette, so they moved to Plaza Senayan. The show divided into 2 place, Fashion Tent and Fashion Atrium. Fashion Tent is placed outside the mall, (and of course) in the tent. And Fashion Atrium is placed inside the mall.

My show (Dress Me Up Competition) was on Nov 4th, it supposed to be held at Fashion Tent. But unfortunately, heavy rain came and made the tent destroyed and leaked. All the show for Nov 4th at Fashion Tent almost canceled ! One of my judge cried and we (the finalists) knew what he felt. He had to make 24 outfits for this event in a very short time ! And suddenly this event should be canceled just like that ?

But thank God, we got the opportunity to continue our show at Fashion Atrium. Some of Brands, Fashion Colleges and Designers' shows like ESMOD Jakarta and Anne Avantie still canceled on the day and they got another day (extra day) on Nov 12th. Phew..

So that was a very great experience day and moment in my life, to get involved with Jakarta Fashion Week. Now I present you guys, our designs and creations ! Enjoy :)

Going to JFW2013 !

Thank you God and those who support me, I just made it to the final (TOP 15) of DRESSMEUP COMPETITION. This competition is made for Tantri (Kotak Band) and Giselle (Indonesian Idol), who will launch their fashion line.


I'm thanking to God hundreds, millions time cause it's not easy to do this project, I live at Tanjung Priok & Mangga Besar while their office is at Kemang. I had to go there twice for a meeting and fitting. I took TransJakarta or busway to go there. SO NOT EASY. Sweats, sweats everywhere and I was so hectic.

On the judgement day, Oct 15th, I was sooo sooo unlucky, there were many bad things happened to me and I felt like "Looks like this is a signal that I can't win this competition." and I almost canceled to go but then, when I arrived at the office and presented the dresses, the judges seemed like it and they gave no negative comment to me. I felt like flying to the sky !

I got the 1st period to presenting my creation. The 2nd period is on Oct 17th, and the result is on Oct 18th. So in 3 days I went crazy, anxious, nervous, hectic and etc. I felt like wanna puke every time I thought about the result. I checked my e-mail many times and there was no one single e-mail from them and I was depressed. But then, just around 21.00 yesterday, I checked their website and they had published the result ! I clicked the navigation bar and.. There's my name !!! :'D

Sooo.. My dresses will be shown on Jakarta Fashion Week 2013, at Plaza Senayan on Sunday, Oct 4th, 14:00 - 14:30 (Fashion Tent: DR. M presents "DRESS ME UP COMPETITION") it's an honor for me :)
